Purusha Sooktam

The above video Purusha Suktam is a visual treat dedicated to lord Vishnu. The Purusha Sooktam is one of the Pancha Suktams of the Sri Vaishnava sampradaya. The other four are the Narayana Suktam, Sri Suktam, Bhu Suktam, and the Nila Suktam.

The following is the essence the Pursha Suktum :

Vedahametam purusham mahantam
Aditya varnam tamasah parastat |
tam evam vidvan amrta iha bhavati
na anyah pantha vidyate 'yanaaya ||

This great Purusha, brilliant as the sun, who
is beyond all darkness, I know him in my
heart. Who knows the Purusha thus,
attains immortality in this very birth.
I know of no other way to salvation.

* Nice pictures... add more pictures to your videos. Very nicely done... ?????

* I love it. I got goosebumps listening to it!

* excellent!!

* thanks...

* The brief description of purusha sooktam offered above is a good attempt; however, its (purusha sookam's) theme is yajna (sacrifice). Thus, no mention of yajna is a disservice to the Vedas and the cultures that derive from the Vedas. Yajna is intimately connected with karma, which is an inborn part of every individual.
